Hello everyone, I'm Jing. You can call me Teacher Wang. I'm Chinese, from Luanping, the hometown of Mandarin speakers in China, but I currently live in Canterbury, England. I enjoy crafts, painting, batik, and traveling. I love communicating with people and making new friends. I'm warm and kind.

I'd love to help you learn (or improve) Chinese! I'm a language learner myself, currently learning English, so I know how it feels to be in your shoes. My goal is to make you feel safe and welcome in the "classroom" and help you speak, listen, write, and read Chinese with ease. I'm happy to welcome students of all levels and backgrounds in Chinese. I've tutored students of all ages, from as young as 4! Currently, I'm accepting students aged 8 and above.

I have five years of experience teaching Chinese as a foreign language. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Advertising from Peking University and a master's degree from the University of Kent in the UK. I have taught students from various countries and cultural backgrounds, including the US, UK, France, and Ukraine, covering all levels of Chinese proficiency. In addition, I have many years of experience in one-on-one tutoring and HSK preparation, helping students successfully pass all levels of the HSK exams. I also provide one-on-one private lessons to the general public, thus I am capable of teaching various types of Chinese.

In the classroom, I like to use actions, pictures, movies, gestures, or language games to create a relaxed and fun learning atmosphere that boosts students' confidence. I design course content based on students' interests and needs to make learning more targeted and practical.

I try my best to communicate with students in Chinese in class, encouraging them to speak Chinese through situational teaching. If a student doesn't understand immediately, I use simpler sentences and speak more slowly to explain. I have an outgoing personality, and my classroom atmosphere is relaxed and lively. Many students from different countries have commented that my classes are very interesting and provide ample opportunities to speak Chinese.

If students do not understand, I simplify my sentences and slow down my speech. I am cheerful and approachable, and I create a lively classroom atmosphere.
