Hi! My name is Jhenny Rose V. Obando, but you can call me Teacher Jhen. I am currently an intern here in the Philippines, taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics. I’m passionate about teaching and helping students understand math in a simple and meaningful way. I’m excited to learn more, gain experience, and grow as a future educator during my internship.

As a Mathematics intern, my teaching experience involves assisting in classroom instruction, preparing lesson plans, and facilitating learning activities aligned with the curriculum. I have had the opportunity to handle guided discussions, provide practice exercises, and support students with varying levels of understanding. Through my internship, I am gaining hands-on experience in classroom management, assessment, and adapting lessons to meet learners’ needs.

My teaching methodology is student-centered and concept-based. I focus on helping students understand the why behind mathematical procedures rather than memorization alone. I use real-life examples, visual models, step-by-step explanations, and interactive activities to make abstract concepts easier to grasp. I also encourage participation, questioning, and collaborative learning to build students’ confidence and critical thinking skills. Overall, my goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel motivated, engaged, and capable of succeeding in Mathematics.
